Politics and battles escalate across Otaria until Kamahl confronts Laquatus in a final showdown. The Mirari, embedded in Kamahl's sword, pierces Laquatus's corpse and implants into the Krosan Forest, diminishing the orb's direct influence as many key figures perish.
