MTG He-Man Secret Lair: Every Masters of the Universe Drop, Revealed

Magic is going to Eternia. On August 24, Wizards announced The Most Powerful Superdrop in the Universe. Five Masters of the Universe Secret Lair drops starring He-Man, Skeletor, and She-Ra, will release on September 14, 2026 exclusively on MagicSecretLair.com at $29.99 non-foil or $39.99 foil per drop. Every card is a reprint or a reskin; there are no new mechanics or original designs here.

There's a fun corporate wrinkle to this one: Masters of the Universe is a Mattel property, and Wizards belongs to Hasbro. Two rival toy giants shook hands so that Skeletor could cackle on a Magic card. What a time.

The drop was first teased with art shown at MagicCon Amsterdam. The same show that produced the announcements we broke down last month, and now we have the complete card lists.

By the Power of Grayskull! is the He-Man drop, and it's built around Winota, Joiner of Forces reskinned as "He-Man, Champion of Eternia." She's joined by Crackle with Power, Delina, Wild Mage as Orko, Bruenor Battlehammer as Man-at-Arms, and Konda's Banner as He-Man's Battle Harness.

Nyah-ha-ha! belongs to Skeletor: Tinybones, the Pickpocket as "Skeletor, Lord of Destruction," plus Tasha's Hideous Laughter, Bottomless Pit, Necrogen Mists, and Breach the Multiverse as "Rally the Evil Warriors." It's a coherent little discard-and-graveyard package wearing a purple hood.

She-Ra, Princess of Power is the sneaky-loaded one, the only drop with six cards. Sisay, Weatherlight Captain becomes She-Ra herself, alongside Silence, Emiel the Blessed as her flying steed Swift Wind, Hajar, Loyal Bodyguard as Bow, Kutzil, Malamet Exemplar as Catra, and a full-art, textless Sol Ring.

Allies and Enemies of Eternia rounds up the supporting cast: Sakashima the Impostor as Man-E-Faces (a genuinely perfect flavor match for a clone), Kona, Rescue Beastie as Beast Man, Ertai Resurrected as Evil-Lyn, Derevi, Empyrial Tactician as the Sorceress, Samut, Voice of Dissent as Teela, and Tetsuo, Imperial Champion as Trap Jaw.

Sold Separately: an all-time Secret Lair name for the accessories drop packs Fortune, Loyal Steed as Battle Cat, The Gitrog, Ravenous Ride as Panthor, Throne of the God-Pharaoh as the Bone Throne, Sword of War and Peace as the Sword of Power, and a double-sided Command Tower.

Read the lists again with EDH glasses on and a pattern jumps out: almost everything here is a Commander card. Winota and Sisay are both proven, aggressive commanders. The She-Ra drop is the clear value pick for players rather than collectors. Six cards instead of five, and three of them, Sol Ring, Silence, and Emiel the Blessed slot into decks you already own. Emiel is a blink engine that goes infinite with alarming ease, Silence is a staple anywhere people cast Underworld Breach, and a textless full-art Sol Ring is the kind of bling that upgrades any deck's turn one.

Skeletor's drop is the flavor win but the narrow buy. Breach the Multiverse and Tinybones, the Pickpocket are real cards, but Bottomless Pit and Necrogen Mists are group-slug discard pieces your pod will feel strongly about. Know your table before you sleeve them.

One practical note from actual pod experience: reskinned cards carry funny names, and that's a table-communication job. If you slam "He-Man, Champion of Eternia," you owe your opponents "this is Winota, Joiner of Forces" in the same breath. Nobody should learn what a card does from the trigger that eats their board.

Each drop runs $29.99 non-foil / $39.99 foil. Three bundles exist: all five non-foil for $149.95, all five foil for $199.95, and the everything-in-both-finishes bundle at $334.99. Every $149 spent earns a foil Swan Song promo while supplies last, and orders over $99 ship free, so the non-foil bundle conveniently clears the promo threshold by a nickel.

The sale opens September 14 at 9 a.m. Pacific, with a pre-queue starting an hour earlier; queue spots go out randomly to whoever's in the pre-queue when the clock hits nine, and nothing is yours until checkout completes.
