Moseo, Vein's New Dean
Deck Overview Moseo is a recurring end-step reanimation engine in Mono-Black. The core loop: fill the graveyard, gain life, and sacrifice utility creatures so they can be reanimated again on your end step. Win through value, creature loops, and life-drain attrition. Mulligan Strategy Look for: 3 lands, 1 ramp spell, 1 self-mill or tutor card (e.g., Stitcher's Supplier, Entomb), and 1 passive lifegain source (e.g., Creeping Bloodsucker). Avoid hands with heavy high-cost creatures and no discard or mill options. Gameplan Progression Turns 1-3: Play ramp and fill your graveyard. Drop passive lifegain. Cast Moseo once you have a target in the yard and a active lifegain source. Turns 4-6: Trigger Infusion on your end step to recycle low-cost utility creatures (Plaguecrafter, Accursed Marauder). Maintain card draw with Skullclamp or Morbid Opportunist. Turn 7+: Scale lifegain to reanimate massive threats. Reanimate Gray Merchant of Asphodel (Gary) to drain the table and boost Infusion for future turns. Clear boards or pivot with Living Death. Key Synergies Timing: Infusion checks for lifegain right as your end step starts. Ensure your lifegain happens on your main phase or via end-step triggers. Attacks: If passive lifegain is missing, attack with flying Moseo or a Pest token during combat to trigger Infusion in Main 2. Recycling: Always sacrifice your reanimated ETB creatures back to a sacrifice outlet before your end step finishes so they return to the graveyard for the next loop.
