Checking Your Deck: The Commander Bracket Calculator and Deck Audit

To check what bracket a Commander deck is, use nerdleagues.com/commander-bracket. It is public — no account needed — and it returns a bracket plus an audit of the whole list.

Three ways to get a list in

• Paste a list takes one card per line. Quantities and set codes are fine, so MTGO, Arena and Moxfield text exports work as-is. A line reading // Commander marks the command zone; skip it and the tool guesses.
• Moxfield / Archidekt takes a deck URL, or a username to browse that person's public decks.
• My decks appears when you are signed in and lists the decks on your account.

Three example decklists sit under the paste box if you want to see the output before assembling anything.

The verdict

The bracket number comes with the bracket name, the reasons behind it as chips, and — where the rules allow it — a How to move down a bracket panel naming the specific cards to cut and the bracket those cuts would actually reach.

A deck that lands on Bracket 4 also gets a cEDH signal: how many of six competitive markers it hits.

Game Changers and combos

Game Changers are shown as cards, grouped by color, with prices and marketplace links. Combos found lists each combo's pieces and what it produces, linking out to its Commander Spellbook page.

The deck audit

Below the verdict, the audit counts Lands, Ramp, Card draw, Targeted interaction, Board wipes, Tutors, Counterspells, Fast mana, Land search, Free spells and Stax pieces, each against a typical range. Click a tile to see which cards it counted.

The ranges it measures against: 34–38 lands, 8–12 ramp, 8–12 card draw, 8–12 targeted interaction, 2–4 board wipes.

Below that: a mana curve with average mana value, colored pips against sources, deck price with the ten most expensive cards, Reserved List matches, and anything in the list that is not Commander legal.

Which numbers are exact and which are estimates

Land count, curve, price, Reserved List, legality, Game Changers, fast mana and board wipes are exact. Ramp, card draw, tutors, targeted interaction, counterspells, land search, free spells, stax and mana sources are pattern-matched from card text and carry an estimate badge.

A card can count in more than one place — Solemn Simulacrum is both ramp and card draw. Cards the tool could not identify are listed rather than dropped.

Sharing an audit

Every audit gets a permanent URL under Share this audit, like /commander-bracket/atraxa-praetors-voice-dcdfd65343. The link shows the same result to anyone who opens it, and re-running the same list returns the same URL.
